Variant Attributes

Define attributes like size, color, and material for your variants.

Overview

Attributes define the possible differences between variants:

  • Global attributes apply to all products
  • Values can be selected per product
  • Attributes determine variant combinations

Predefined Attributes

SlimPIM offers predefined attributes:

Size

XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL and numeric sizes

Color

Common colors with color codes

Material

Cotton, Polyester, Wool, Leather, etc.

These can be extended or customized.

Create New Attribute

How to create a new attribute:

  1. 1
    Go to "Variants" in the sidebar
  2. 2
    Select the "Attributes" tab
  3. 3
    Click "New Attribute"
  4. 4
    Enter name and code
  5. 5
    Define the values
  6. 6
    Click "Save"

Manage Attribute Values

Add values:

  • Click "Add Value"
  • Enter label and code
  • Optional: Set sort order

Edit values:

  • Click on the value
  • Change label or code
  • Code changes affect existing variants

Delete values:

  • Only possible if not in use
  • Warning for used values

Attribute Types

Text:

Simple text value, e.g., "Premium Edition"

Selection:

Predefined values to choose from

Color:

Color picker with color code and preview

Size:

Numeric or as text size

The display in variant selection changes depending on type.
