General Questions

What is SlimPIM?

SlimPIM is a cloud-based Product Information Management (PIM) system that enables businesses to centrally manage product data and synchronize it with various sales channels.

Who is SlimPIM for?

SlimPIM is ideal for small and medium-sized businesses, e-commerce merchants, and manufacturers who want to efficiently manage their product data.

Is there a free version?

Yes, the Starter plan is free and allows managing up to 100 articles with one user.

How secure is my data?

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use state-of-the-art security standards and regular backups. More information in our privacy policy.

Articles & Products

How many articles can I create?

  • Starter: 100 articles
  • Professional: 5,000 articles
  • Business: Unlimited

Can I duplicate articles?

Yes, via the actions menu you can duplicate any article. All data except the SKU is copied.

How do variants work?

Variants are product variations (e.g., sizes, colors). You define attributes and automatically generate all combinations from them.

Can I delete and restore articles?

Deleted articles are permanently removed. We recommend setting the status to "Inactive" instead.

Import & Export

What formats are supported?

  • Import: CSV, Excel-export compatible
  • Export: CSV, PDF (catalog)

How large can an import file be?

Maximum 50 MB per import. For larger data volumes, we recommend importing in parts.

Are my images imported?

Images can be added via the separate bulk image import. In CSV import, you can specify image URLs.

Can I save the mapping?

Yes, column mappings can be saved as templates and reused for future imports.

Integrations

Which shops are supported?

Currently: Shopify and WooCommerce. More integrations are planned.

How often is data synchronized?

By default every 15 minutes. Manual synchronization is possible at any time.

What happens with sync conflicts?

SlimPIM is the "Single Source of Truth". In conflicts, SlimPIM data overwrites shop data (configurable).

Can I sync only specific articles?

Yes, you can select articles for synchronization or define filters.

Account & Billing

How can I change my plan?

Under Settings → Billing you can upgrade or downgrade at any time.

What happens when article limits are exceeded?

You will be notified and cannot create new articles until you upgrade or delete articles.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Under Settings → Billing → Cancel Plan. Your data remains available until the end of the billing period.

Can I export my data before canceling?

Yes, all data can be exported as CSV at any time.

Technical Questions

Which browsers are supported?

Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge in their current versions.

Is there a mobile app?

A native app is planned. The web app is fully responsive and usable on mobile devices.

Is there an API?

Yes, a REST API is available (Business Plan). Documentation at /api/docs.
